Pantone's Color Of The Year 2022
For those of you who are unfamiliar with Pantone, the company is a worldwide acknowledged leader in color expertise. They offer color perceptions and solutions. They have had an impact on both the fashion and jewelry worlds. And guess what, they've just announced their new year's color! They've given it the designation "Very Peri" (Pantone 17-3938). "Ideally, this is a color you would want to see in a stone" Laurie Pressman, vice president of the Pantone Color Institute said.

Luckily, we have that stunning color at GemMatrix, and we're excited to share some of these examples with you over the coming few days!
On this shot, some gorgeous tanzanites exhibit this unique hue, which is ideal for fine jewelry.

What The New Pantone's Color Might Change
Not only may this new hue draw attention to stones of a similar hue, but it also has the potential to transform current communication trends. As society continues to value color as a key mode of communication, the complexity of this new red-violet laced blue hue reflects the limitless possibilities that lie ahead of us. Pantone's Color of the Year has influenced product development and purchasing decisions in a variety of industries, including fashion, home furnishings, the gems sector, as well as product packaging and graphic design, for 23 years.

Very Peri, Very Pretty!
We couldn't be happier that this year's color was chosen. We genuinely hope that this fashion trend will draw attention to certain lesser-known yet affordable gemstones. This new color is described by Pantone as the "happiest and warmest of all blue hues," and we couldn't agree more!

With over ten years of marketing experience, I finally decided to settle down in Bangkok to work in an area that I have always been interested in: the gemstones industry. I'm still learning how the market works on a daily basis, and I enjoy sharing my experience with those who are interested in learning more about gems in general.
