This is GemMatrix's signature sapphire. Inverell sapphires are named after the Australian mining location where they are found. It is a family-owned company with a strong sustainability and traceability track record. This component is very important to us because we are RJC approved. Their colors range from medium to dark blue. Some of these sapphires have strong dichroic colors (displaying extra green and yellow colors depending on the view angle), not to mention the stunning teal and parti sapphires from Australia. We've observed a recent surge in this trend, and we couldn't be more proud to be the industry leader in these sapphires!

Thailand is better known for being the world's leading trading center for colorful stones than for the high quality of its gems. It is, nonetheless, a major exporter of sapphires of all colors. Thailand accounted for about a third of the world's sapphire production at the end of the 1990s.

Thailand's sapphire is of basaltic origin, however it is rather dark and needs to be heated to brighten its color. However, these sapphires remain a dark inky blue with no brilliance even when heated.

Blue sapphires from Madagascar are comparable to those from Ceylon in quality. This is one of our favorite sapphire locations. We have recently acquired a small quantity of unheated pink sapphires from the country. Do not hesitate to ask us!

These sapphires are of very high quality, and it's difficult to tell them apart from Ceylon sapphires. It is then critical to obtain a gem certificate to ensure that you have the correct sapphire for your client! Don't worry, however, because their quality is nearly the same, and their pricing is relatively similar.

These sapphires, like 90% of the others on the market, are frequently treated (heated) and this process is totally accepted in the gemstone industry. When heated, some sapphires take on a velvety blue color similar to Burmese sapphires.

Another favorite source for our calibrated sapphires due to their similarity to those from Thailand.They have a deep blue color and often display a lovely clarity. On the other hand, their blue is more vibrant and does not fade on the inky blue. This is why we provide Nigerian sapphires to customers who require a specific color for their jewelry.

We don't know what the future holds for these sapphires because these deposits are so recent. We may discover new veins that will cause the sapphire gem market to surge, which is part of the good news!

You couldn't have missed them; their blue color is almost as flawless, and the country produces some of the world's finest sapphires. The very famous colors, including royal blue and the well-known cornflower color, can be found there.
